Arts Against Addiction
Luella Rockerfella organised a prestigious fashion show in a befitting setting of CCA Galleries International. Which worked amazingly well from a photographers angle perspective.
Which exhibits some of the most relevant, current and contemporary British artists and from further a field. Damian Hirst, Dan Baldwin and Storm Thorgerson to name just a few. Dan Baldwin famously created the album cover for Paulo Nutini yet his sculptures are my favourite.
We raised money through donations and a raffle in which local businesses donated gifts towards. Our charity of choice was The Silkworth Charity Group. Which runs a local 12 step rehabilitation centre here in Jersey.
We launched our new brand that we are stocking called FRNCH which is made and designed in Paris. It is known for chic cuts and high quality finishes.
I took inspiration from the runways of Milan, New York, London and Paris. I wanted it to be real. Instead of over produced stages, lighting and DJ I wanted a flat levelled runway and the models to walk in a circuit around the art to exhibit the pieces at their finest. I wanted people to be on the same level and as close to the fabric to really view the collections.
I chose a playlist which depicts each of the brands so I chose a lot of Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and Stone Roses for Motel Rocks and for FRNCH I chose a lot of French rap and classic French artists.
There were four models for each brand and when the specific playlist came on the models knew to walk in their circuit.
I picked different hair and make-up for each different brand and stuck with that theme throughout. FRNCH was very classic with the red lip and Motel was slightly edgier.
The night was proudly sponsored by Physique Transformation who fully believe in encouragin healthy mind and body within our community.
